​My Name is Maxine Rothstein, I am a 21 year old wig and makeup artist with the goal to graduate with a BFA in Design and Production.  I grew up in Pennsylvania where I went to Folcroft Delaware County Technical School for cosmetology along with my academic high school Haverford Senior High School. I started doing hair and makeup in a salon style when I was 15 years old at my technical school, with a plan to graduate with my license. Unfortunately, because of Covid I was not able to get all of my hours. I decided to take my academic classes online, and do cosmetology school full time to be able to achieve that goal of graduating with my license. Although it was a hard time where I had to push myself, I did end up reaching my goal. during this time I had realized I wanted to do more art within hair and makeup, rather than just being in a salon. Creating art using hair and makeup has shaped the person I am today, and it is my entire world. I am very fortunate to have a great education here at UNCSA and amazing support. I am super excited to see where my journey leads me to in this industry.
